Brand New Secrets Silversands in Riviera Maya
Secrets Silversands, wow what a fantastic all-inclusive Resort! It is a very contemporary property with an intimate feel. They have a nice beach but remember to bring your aqua shoes, the seafloor is a bit rough. This property is more a pool lover´s paradise! The infinity pool is where I spent as much time as possible. I was even able to watch a wedding ceremony on the beach while floating on my raft. This is a fantastic place for a destination wedding and/or honeymoon.
The restaurants were fantastic. My favorite is Himitsu, it features Teppanyaki tables and a Sushi Belt. What is a sushi belt? The sushi chef stands at one end of the bar making sushi delicacies and places them on the ”conveyor” belt which rotates around the bar. The guests take what they want as the dishes pass by…very cool! Unique to this property is the Ratatouille - a Mediterranean restaurant. The restaurants offer a 140% seating capcity – meaning the hotel can seat the entire resort plus an additional 40% at any given time. You will always be able to get a table at one of the 7 total a la carte restaurants. If you have ever been to a Secrets property you may remember the Secrets Boxes. They are back! You can order 24 hour room service and have it delivered without ever having to open your door.
Step into the spa and step into supreme indulgence. At Secrets Spa by Pevonia, delight in a wide selection of invigorating and revitalizing treatments, no matter what your pleasure. They have 18 massage rooms with showers, suitable for private or couples massages, a body therapy room, facial rooms, a fully equipped gym as well as a hydrotherapy area with sauna, steam rooms, vortex, hydro-massage and spa showers.
The luxury rooms include the amenties that we´ve come to expect from a Secrets plus a few extras - adjustable thermostat next to the bed, diffident control operated ceiling fan, a sound system in the bathroom, a phone in the bathroom (I would never admit to using it!) and even a scale for those masochists out there! Secrets Silversands transforms at night with gorgeous lighting features and jazzy type music thoughout the property.
