Iâ??ve just come home from the outstanding NC State shoot at Hunters Pointe where Chuck Frazier perpetrated on us some of his best, most well thought out target presentations. Standing in the box, I distinctly remember telling myself not to shoot that target right there. Did I remember to follow those instructions? Actually, to tell you the truth, well, I just forgot. It looked so good right there I couldnâ??t help myself. See, hereâ??s what happened. After stomping the first bird, I moved the gun to intercept the second bird. And there it was, right on schedule. So I mosey up to it with my â??never-failâ? move and watched myself shoot right over the top of it! Chuck ambushed me. Twice! X0X0. Itâ??s enough to make a person feel daffy. I did adjust the last 2 pairs, XXXX. Couldnâ??t get those lost birds back though.
And thatâ??s what I want to take a look at, minimizing our misses.
In my opinion, sporting clays competition has become a precision sport. Never before have so many demands been placed on the competitorâ??s shoulders to guide the gun properly. Mistakes in the swing are rarely forgiven by todayâ??s more creative and deceptive match presentations. While ours is not a game of perfect, scores are climbing. Thatâ??s why knowing where we missed and why is so critical. As scores continue to climb, there is less and less margin for missing, putting the emphasis squarely on better strategies and error free swing execution. Miss management.
Top shooters have good form. While their shooting styles may differ, the style each one uses is consistent, making it dependable, at the target and on the score sheet. But thereâ??s more going on there than meets the eye.
Letâ??s start with a target presentation you like, a favorite of yours. Maybe itâ??s a left to right crossing target, medium speed at about 25 yards. This is a target that you rarely miss. Confidence on this bird is very high as you walk into the shooting box. Why? Because you know this shot. From the set up through the break you know every aspect of this shot cold. Swing feel and sight pictures are very familiar to you. Iâ??m not inferring you can take the target for granted. I am saying you feel very secure, putting a lot of trust in your move on this bird. You know how to break it and it will break. So itâ??s safe to say you have this shot, any time, anywhere.
Now stand beside me at Hunters Pointe on Sunday at the state shoot, 15 yards to the left and under the 60 foot tower. Both traps are on the top. True pairs, the birds leave from behind us, on our right, overhead and away. The first thing we notice is the line on each bird is somewhat awkward, so putting the gun on the line will be touchy. To compound matters, the targets are fast, meaning time is limited and weâ??ll have to make good use of the time we have. The margin for swing errors is small indeed and swing mistakes, careless or otherwise, wonâ??t be forgiven here. Like so many of Chuckâ??s well thought out presentations, precision will be at a premium……

Sporting clays continues to be an elegant sport born of long tradition, fulfilling our wingshooting passion to experience the wing and shot. Feather and clay, inescapably tied, grants us so many learning opportunities to hone our skills, a path of personal growth that affords us a refreshing, unbiased look at ourselves. Time and again, my students have learned how entirely more capable they are than once thought. The American sporting clays shooter can honestly and proudly say, in a very short period, he has indeed advanced to take his rightful place among the best in the world. And, let’s not forget, no one is having more fun out here than you and I are.
The events, times, places and persons in my articles are all true. While I changed a name here and there, 100% of the information came from my experiences with you. Each tournament, each lesson, each experience with you generated the material for my work. I am grateful.
We hope you enjoyed the first part of the article and will visit us online to browse the numerous collection that is available. Until then, happy Sporting!

My favorite Internet marketing strategy of all time is article marketing. It keys into one of my talents, writing, and I can use the articles I create time and time again for a multitude of purposes. I tend to be lazy by nature, so anything that lets me create once and get paid, get paid, get paid, etc. is a dream marketing strategy.
I made a firm commitment to writing one article per week in 2003 or so, and now have an entire article library that I use and refer to all the time. Without a doubt, I have to give credit to my article marketing strategy for the success of my business. It has helped me get found online, demonstrate my expertise to my target market, create info products to sell on my website, and get hired by those in need of what I offer.
Here are 15 ways you can repurpose each article you write to make it a workhorse for your business:
1. Publish in your ezine. Every single article I’ve ever written has appeared as an article in one of my newsletters. My commitment to publishing a weekly email newsletter forced me to commit to writing a new article each week. I’m not sure I would have honored my commitment to article writing had I not forced myself to produce an email newsletter on a weekly basis.
2. Post to your website. Roughly 60% of my traffic comes to my website via keyword searches that match the topics of articles that I’ve written. I use my online article bank to send both current and prospective clients to my site for additional information on a topic that enhances a recent discussion I’ve had with them. For maximum usability, index the articles on your website in usable categories that make sense to your target market so that they can easily find your words of expertise when they search for it online.
3. Add to your blog. Every single article that I write for my newsletter is also posted to my blog. Is this overkill, since I already publish an ezine, and do the search engines penalize me for redundant content? Thus far, I’ve never been penalized for having the same article appear in multiple places. In fact, Google indexes my blog posts within hours as indicated via my Google alerts. Some people love to read and respond to blogs while others would rather read ezines. So, by doing both, I appeal to both audiences with only minutes of extra effort.
4. Publish on social networking community sites. You can’t move anywhere online today without running into some social networking site — MySpace, Facebook Squidoo, etc. Many people are setting up their own social networking communities for niche markets, like the Book Marketing community to which I belong. Post your article to all of the social networking sites in which you participate. Depending on the site, you may be able to post it to your blog on the site, a group blog, a discussion forum, an announcement, etc. Check the rules of the community before posting your first article.
5. Distribute through article banks. Distributing your articles via thousands of article banks and article directories helps you increase your traffic, as Internet searchers might find an article at an article directory initially and then visit your website upon reading your resource box (short bio) at the end of the article. Article submission also establishes your credibility as an expert, especially when you tell a prospective client to Google you and they’re amazed by all the references to you online. Lastly, this article marketing strategy helps other print and online publishers locate you and then feature your work (or offer the prospect of other opportunities) in their publication.
6. Create a podcast. Make a digital recording of your article using one of any number of audio recording services like AudioAcrobat or software like Audacity. I create an special intro and outtro (special offer) for each podcast, based on the content of the article, and then proceed to read and record the text of the article. Then, post your podcast to podcast directories. In about 30 minutes, you’ve created yet another marketing strategy for yourself.
7. Create a video. Video production is becoming easier and easier, and I now receive a couple of video ezines where the entire content of the ezine is delivered via a video. In fact, you can actually sit at your desk with a webcam and record yourself. With the magic of video software like Visual Communicator or screen capturing software like Camtasia, you can add graphics and text and have a video ready in minutes. With the popularity of video sites like YouTube, it’s harder to ignore the impact video will have on your online marketing efforts.
8. Syndicate on other websites. Through the power of RSS feeds, you can become a syndicated columnist in other people’s publications. Simply offer your RSS code and installation instructions to your visitors with the promise that they’ll have new content on their site weekly (or in whatever interval you publish new articles). My article submission service offers this option to me, and I’m appearing on more websites every week.
9. Write a press release. Distributing a press release online can have a strong impact beyond any media that might pick it up. Press releases that link back to your site can enhance your search engine rankings and increase your online credibility. You can convert your article into a tips release, a release that ties into a current trend or news story or to an upcoming event that you’re sponsoring. This strategy takes a bit of work, as you need to modify the content of your article into the press release format and orient it to your goal for publishing the release. I use and highly recommend PRWeb.com for online press releases.
10. Create information products for profit. I never believed that I could put together any type of information product until I took a long, hard look at my collection of articles and saw definite themes emerge. Slowly but surely I’m translating these themes into information products that I can sell online.
11. Create a teleseminar. If you write your article in the tips format, you’ve got a teleseminar in the making. All you need to do is create an introduction and closing for your teleseminar and beef up your tips points with additional explanation or with examples, and before you know it you will have created the content for a 60 minute teleseminar.
12. Distribute to print publications in your target market. If your target market is very specialized or is a niche market, you’ll find a whole host of specialized print magazines, newsletters, and catalogs for this market. Take a few hours and research those publications available for your target market, check out their submission guidelines, and get a sense of the tone of the publication. If you think your content would be a great fit, buff up a couple of your best articles and send an email to the publisher outlining how publishing your content in their publication would benefit their readership. Since you may not be paid for your submission, request that a short bio with your contact info is contained within your article.
13. Add to your niche article directory. Creating your own niche article directory is a great traffic-generating strategy, as you can feature your own articles there as well as accept quality submissions from others who have relevant info for your target market. An easy way to create this type of site is through free article directory software, ArticleDashboard.com.
14. Create a special report. Want to create a quick giveaway to offer to colleagues as a bonus for their product, or as a giveaway to your contacts? Create a PDF of your article as a special report that includes your contact info, as well as an upsell page to particular products or services. Or, you can make this report a viral marketing piece.that is free for others to give away.
15. Offer it to your affiliates. If you have an affiliate program, offering your affiliates the ability to use and reprint your articles gives them content to help promote your products and services. In the resource box of your article that links back to your site, encourage your affiliates to include their affiliate link to your site so that they get credit anytime one of their visitors links to your site from theirs.
Don’t let your articles sit on your desktop gathering dust. Put them to work for you by creating a repurposing plan to help you get the most out of your creation.

The oil in your engine is as essential to the health of your car, as water is to the health of your body. The purpose of oil in your engine is to basically keep the metal parts of the engine, from grinding together, and ripping each other apart. The engine oil also aids the safe conduction of heat, throughout the engine, and collects the waste products created by combustion. The engine parts must remain lightly coated with oil in order to continue operation smoothly, and fluidly.
Tell me, what is sludge?
Sludge is the sticky, icky black goop that is found in engines without proper maintenance, or that have been given the wrong type of oil. Over time, as the oil is heated, and cycles its way through the engine, the chemical compounds in the oil oxidize, and then break down and the additives separate. This leaves the thick, goopy residue we refer to as sludge.
How do I avoid it, or eliminate it?
Cleaning this out of the engine used to involve the time consuming, and tedious chore of taking the engine completely apart, cleaning off each and every piece, and putting it back together. Since most of us regular people would have no idea how to do this, we had no choice but to hand our car over to a professional mechanic, who charged us a small fortune to accomplish this task for us. However, the wonders of modern science and technology, have given us flushing agents, which we simply add to the oil already in the engine. The purpose of a flushing oil is to remove all the residue and build up left in the engine, clogging up the works. But it is not recommended to drive with a flushing oil in the engine, they were not meant to withstand that type of continued use. Let your car idle for about 20 minutes, to run the flushing oil through the engine, and then top off the engine with your regular engine oil.
And if I don’t change the oil in my engine, what happens?
If the oil in your engine is too minimal, too dirty, or is of sub-standard quality, then the entire engine will suffer for it, and parts will become sluggish, clogged, or break apart. Using the correct type of oil for your engine, using high quality oil, cleaning, and changing the oil in your engine are crucial to the running of your car, and also extend the life of your car. Each automobile manufacturer notes the recommended engine oil for each particular engine. Use the oil that your engine was designed to consume, or speak with a qualified mechanic, about suggestions for a better grade, or quality engine oil. Also, keeping up to date on the recommended mileage and maintenance checks for your car is a very good idea. By taking your car in, or changing your oil when you are supposed to, sludge is not the only problem you will avoid.

Health articles provide us with information about health. Beyond this simplistic definition, they also make the readers aware about various health issues and problems. ‘Health articles’ is a very broad topic and there are various subsections within the topic. The main purpose of health articles is to spread awareness about health problems and provide solutions to numerous health problems. Although most of them do reflect the facts, some are misleading. These articles need to be read carefully before using any of advice in them. The same shall be observed in with plethora of health advice available everywhere. This is because even if the advice is medically correct, they might not be suitable for your condition.
Sources
Articles appear in various publications. One can find a well-researched and highly credible health article in science and medicine journals. These articles are based on painstaking research and are written by the researcher and professors in that field. Non-academic magazines, which have a wider audience, also publish health articles. Newspapers around the world usually have a daily column relating to health. Many magazines and newspapers publish special editions relating to specific health problems or issues.
Medicine
The first and foremost area is medicine. Generally, doctors, dieticians or the respective authorities write the medicinal health articles. Some health articles adopt a generalist perspective and focus on overall well-being whereas some articles concentrate on serious diseases. The articles focus on dreadful diseases like cancer, AIDS, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s and on simple cold and flu. These articles provide helpful information about the symptoms of these diseases and offer tips to prevent these diseases.
Fitness
Other than medicine, there are many other areas like fitness, beauty etc. Some articles target specific age groups. In today’s busy world people encounter many health problems and therefore there is a great demand for information relating to health and wellbeing. Today many people have a sedentary lifestyle and thus face major health problems at a very early stage. Due to the advent of TV and computers, there is an increased rate of childhood obesity. Owing to such a lifestyle, health articles relating to weight loss and fitness are very popular. People are seeking for articles that provide ways to stay fit in their busy schedules.
Beauty
Apart from fitness articles, beauty articles are very popular amongst women and young generation. This is just a belief that only these are the popular readers of the articles, but if you see the increasing advertisements about the cosmetics for men, you would get the reality. Beauty articles are about various skin conditions like acne. There are also articles about hair loss and other hair conditions. Articles on beauty are very popular as many people are interested in maintaining healthy and glowing skin and beautiful hair. You might find a health article that describes just what you need on any of the websites, but be careful in what you follow and what you do not. If you think a bit before, you might benefit a lot.
There was an article in Time magazine which showed a model which replicates how most people will look in the next 200 years on account of the cultures mixing rather than staying in one particular area. I really wanted to resee the picture of the model. If you guys have read that article, you probably know what I am talking about. Do you know where I can see that picture?

In today’s business world email is by far the most often used form of communication. However, since email has emerged only recently as a result of the emergence of IT, rules of usage have not been enforced. This interferes with the efficacy of the communication.
The rules of email are known by the contemporary term Netiquette. They not only help in the effective use of email communication, but help to maintain a professional image, create efficiency and protect the company from law suits. Following the netiquette rules also proves that the sender is a competent and responsible person.
The Mechanics of Email
The mechanics of email provides a number of practical techniques that will enable the user to communicate effectively. Learning these techniques will help the person to communicate without being confusing and also how to correspond without offending recipients.
This article focuses on one of the most important mechanics of email – writing an effective subject line.
Subject Line
The subject line appears below the ‘To’ option on your screen. This is the only field that the recipient can read without opening the actual message. The subject line, in my opinion, is the most vital part of an email. First let us answer the question, “What is the purpose of a subject line?” An effective subject line allows the reader to see at a glance what the message is regarding. It serves as a gatekeeper and determines whether the message is read by the recipient.
A powerfully written message is useless if the subject line does not entice the reader who moves on without opening the message. A good subject line is bound to make the recipient inquisitive to the extent that he cannot resist the temptation to open and read the message immediately.
Here are some of the ways that people deal with subject lines:
It is left blank.
The message is so long that it runs beyond the size of the screen.
It refers to the previous subject.
Grammar and capitalizations are inappropriate
It is not truly indicative of the message.
It sounds like hype.
When the subject line is handled in the above manner, the recipient will not bother to open the message as the authenticity of the sender is suspect. This also triggers the fear of email viruses which cautions him against opening the message. Of course this does not apply if the recipient knows you or is expecting a message from you, in such cases he/she will open the message even if there is no subject line. But, it is always better to avoid taking chances.
Subject lines are so important that if you leave the line blank many email programs will give a warning even before you can send the message. This warning usually comes in the form of a pop-up dialog box.
The example below shows one type of wording for a dialog box.
“The message has no subject. Select OK to send anyway.”
Two Methods to Create Effective Subject Line:
1. Write a subject line that is specific about the message.
2. Write a subject line that is creative.
1. Writing a subject line that is specific about the message:
This method is used when you are writing to someone you know or with someone who is expecting your message. When you are specific in your subject line the reader will be impelled to open and read.
Below are listed some of the ways to writing an effective subject line that is specific:
The words ‘Hi’ or “Greetings” in the subject line signify nothing to the recipient in professional correspondences. Therefore, it is important to use only relevant subject lines.
The abbreviation “RE:” for regarding is acceptable in email just as in typing memos.
Think of your subject line to be the main headline of your document. Instead of simply writing “Meeting”, be a little more descriptive and say “July 30th Process Team Meeting”.
A descriptive subject line enables the reader to file and retrieve your message later.
It also allows easy scanning for message content in mail boxes.
Here are examples to show how to write detailed and specific subject lines.
Instead of
Use
1. I have a question
Question about Kumar file
2. Meeting
Question – Quality Assurance Mtg.
3. Proposal
Communication Training Proposal
4. Response
Response to Sales Proposal
2. Writing a subject line that is creative:
This method is used when you are writing to recipients that you are not familiar with. Hence you have to be creative in order to improve the chances of your email being read. The subject line has to be worded in such a way that it will convince the recipient to open the message and read it without deleting it. However, the information provided in the subject line will differ depending on the recipient and the situation. Here are a few examples.
Email Subject Lines
Uses for the Subject Line
Sample Wordings
Identify who you are
Engineer
Tell more about yourself
Computer Software Engineer
Tell why you are contacting this person
Network problem
Find things that make you unique
Java Programmer
Find common space with recipient
Fellow IIT graduate & Engineer
Capitalization in Subject Line
As a rule, do not use all upper case characters when writing emails. The recipient feels that you are “shouting” or aggressively conveying a message. Shouting will not make the recipient open your message. However, if you wish to capitalize, be consistent .You may choose to capitalize only the first word, or you may decide to capitalize every word. Here is an example: ‘Question regarding Kumar’s file’.
Length of a Subject Line
It is always best to limit the subject line to around 25 to 35 characters. Here, character means a letter, space or punctuation. Condense the subject line using only pertinent words without compromising comprehension. Here is an example: “I have a question regarding the Kumar File”, can be written as “Question regarding Kumar File”.
